Frequently. Asked. Questions.

Q: When should we book you as our photographer, and how many hours do we need?

A: It goes without saying that every event is different and will require different things - but typically my couples book me as soon as they confirm their wedding/elopement date, since weekends fill up quickly during peak season, and the most popular amount of coverage is about 7-8 hours. If you're looking for a smaller amount of coverage, please let me know and we can work out a custom package for you!

Q: We're ready to book you! What's next?

A: Just send me a lil message through my contact form here and I'll send you my Investment Guide so we can figure out what will work best for your event's needs! From there we can chat details, get to know each other better, and hammer out the little bits and bobs so can check one more thing off your list!

Q: What is required to reserve our wedding date? How do we pay you?

A: I require a non-refundable, 50% retainer, along with your contract, to book your date. Your final balance will be due 30 days before your date.
Cash and checks are preferred, but I do also accept credit/debit cards, which have an additional fee associated with it, (the fee is imposed by the CC processing companies, not me!)

Q: How long until we receive our photo gallery?

A: Turn around time is 10-12 weeks, depending on how close to peak season it is. I always post lots of sneak peeks for you, and if you need a specific photo for thank you cards, Christmas cards, etc I will do my best to accommodate!

Q: Do you photograph LGBTQ+ and non-binary couples?

A: Absolutely. Love comes in infinite shapes, colors and sizes - and you can bet your bottom dollar that I'm all about every single one. I'm here to celebrate you and your partner, (amigo, significant other, other half, etc!), no matter what. If you have preferred pronouns you'd like me to use, please don't hesitate to ask when inquiring!

Q: How would describe your style of shooting? Are you able to handle difficult lighting?

A: I'm a lover of candids, and photographing things as is without too much stiff lipped pomp and circumstance. That being said - I do like to give a healthy mix of creatively posed and candid images, whatever best documents your day! This means I'll usually use both available and artificial light when the time requires it, so I can be flexible in any kind of situation - rain or shine, day or night!

Q: Do you travel? What do you charge?

A: Yes! Traveling is one of my greatest loves, (after my dogs, of course). Within 50 miles of Richmond, VA there is no charge, and for everywhere else please contact me with details so I can put together a quote for you! If travel requires more than 3 hours of driving time, or a flight + lodging, those costs will apply as well.
